Size a month of restroom paper for your Stockton building
The restroom paper supply estimator asks for your facility type, the people in the building on an ordinary day, the visitors who come and go, plus how many days a month the doors are open. Then tell it what your restrooms use: the tissue roll your holders take (standard or jumbo), how hands get dried (folded towels, rolled towels or air dryers), whether the soap is foam or liquid, and the count of restroom trash bins. It returns how many restroom visits to expect each month, with a low and high monthly figure for each product.
From headcount to cases: how the figures are built
The estimate runs in two stages. The first counts restroom visits. Staff who spend the whole day inside and visitors who stop in for an hour use restrooms at very different rates, so the tool counts each group separately, using the defaults building designers apply when they plan fixtures and water use. Shoppers, diners and churchgoers are matched to the nearest published group for the building type you picked.
The second stage turns visits into product. Tissue use draws on measured dispenser studies, hand-washing rates come from observation studies in public restrooms, and towel and soap amounts follow published drying and dispenser figures. Roll and case sizes come from commercial product listings, and liners are counted per bin for each day you are open. The arithmetic happens inside the tool, so the result is ready to read.
Why the answer comes as a band
No two restrooms get used the same way. The mix of men and women changes how much tissue goes out, some people pull one towel while others take a handful, and a holder that feeds a set length uses less than one that lets a hand keep pulling. The published research varies for the same reasons, so the estimator gives a lower and an upper monthly figure. Order within that band, and keep the reserve closer to the upper figure for busy weeks.
Conditions that push restroom use up
- Steady streams of guests. Clinic waiting rooms, dealership service lounges, busy storefronts and churches on a full weekend send more guests through restrooms planned around staff.
- Towel style. Roll and multifold towels come in different refill sizes and get used differently, so switching from one to the other changes the order. The estimator treats each one on its own terms.
- Open-feed dispensers. A towel or tissue holder with no portion control hands out as much as someone cares to pull.
- Long shifts and extra days. Distribution buildings running round-the-clock shifts, Saturday hours and evening events all add visits a weekday headcount misses.
- Seasonal rushes. Holiday retail weeks and the start of a school term lift demand for a stretch before it settles.
Jumbo rolls change how often a holder needs changing rather than how much paper people use, which makes them a good fit for busy restrooms where an empty holder between cleanings would be noticed.
What the estimate doesn’t count
Two items stay out of the result, seat covers for toilets and the bags inside sanitary bins, since no dependable published figure shows how many get used. Paper towels at the breakroom sink, sanitizer at the front desk and kitchen trash bags also fall outside the restroom count. We work those quantities out at the walkthrough from what your building actually goes through, and coffee and snacks fall under the breakroom and pantry restocking we offer.
Turn the range into a stocked closet
This range gives you a planning starting point for your restrooms. The button under the result passes it to us with the request form below, and the walkthrough then turns it into a real plan, covering which dispensers are on the walls, how much reserve each restroom keeps, and whether supplies arrive with your cleaning or as a delivery of their own. Our janitorial supplies service stocks restrooms as the crew cleans, the restroom cleaning checklist covers each visit, and commercial restroom deep cleaning handles grout, partitions and fixtures that need more than routine care.
For the rooms beyond the restrooms, the office cleaning checklist builder drafts a task list, the commercial cleaning frequency planner sorts it by interval, and the Stockton janitorial cost calculator gives a monthly budget range. When you’re ready, book a walkthrough.
A few useful answers
Common questions
Who should I enter as a visitor rather than a person in the building?
Count anyone who comes in for part of the day as a visitor: patients, shoppers, guests, parents at drop-off. Staff who work a full shift, and students at a school, belong under people in the building.
Does it matter whether I choose jumbo or standard rolls?
Pick the roll your holders take today. People use about the same amount of paper either way; jumbo rolls just need changing less often, which suits busy restrooms.
Can Stockton Janitorial deliver and stock these supplies?
Yes. We supply and refill restroom paper, soap and liners while we clean, or deliver them on a regular schedule for buildings with their own custodian. If you keep your own cases, the crew can refill from those instead.
Where are toilet seat covers and sanitary liners in the result?
They are left out because no reliable published usage figure exists for them. We count them with you during the walkthrough instead of guessing.
